An ice blue Kitchen Aid mixer.
This was the gift from my parents to celebrate my 21st year of life, and boy was I excited! The card told me I could pick out the color and model I wanted. I chose the 5 quart Artisan model. Ice blue was the only color I could imagine having in my kitchen. It matches my polka dot dishes from Pier 1 and is a perfect retro color for a vintage loving lady.
It arrived in the mail three days ago with one hitch. I am a college student living three hours away from my parents and it shipped to their house, as shipping to my apartment can get squirrely at times. I have been chomping at the bit to get to use my new mixer. Come spring break (which began for me about 30 minutes ago) I will be united with my one true love....well thats a stretch to have a severe attachment to a piece of kitchen equipment...but I am excited!
To properly welcome my mixer into my kitchen appliance family, I thought I should pamper it with organic vanilla beans. So, I ordered a 1/2 pound of organic Ugandan vanilla beans from Amadeus vanilla beans. I have seen this site mentioned several times on different cooking blogs and forums so I thought it would be worth a shot!
